Our client is an international owned by a group of European investors and is competing for a global telecommunications license that will allow for providing fixed/mobile voice and data services to all market segments over the whole country as well as content (TV) services. As of now the staff comprises of around 20 people and should reach 600 by year-end, and is expected to create 6 thousand direct jobs and 190 thousand indirect jobs during the concession licence period. Throughout the next few months they are hiring the C-level staff that will lead the company for the coming years.

DESCRIÇÃO DO CARGO

We are seeking a senior executive to report to our client Chief Executive Officer. The COO has the overall responsibility to support the CEO in operating the company and leverage its performance as weel as support the CEO in achieving the evolution of the company into a World-class player providing integrated services to all market segments. He/She will represent CEO in meetings/ events and assume all tasks and activities delegated to him by the CEO. He/She will be responsible for the launch of company operations as planned in the strategic and business plan. Other responsibilities include monitoring the implementation of the company strategy, related Business Plan and the achievement of operational objectives as mandated by CEO, drive the daily operations of the Company within the frame defined in coordination with the CEO and define and implement the company governance and performance reporting

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Graduation in well known Brazilian University is very desirable;
Familiar with greenfield operations, Fixed mobile and convergent operations;
Experience in emerging and challenging markets ;
Experience in management of large projects and teams;
Perfect knowledge of the business model and operations of a telco operator ;
Consulting background is a plus ;
Leadership and proven ability for teamwork ;
Business oriented;
Superior analytical thinking and problem solving skills;
Ability to adapt to new environments and become productive quickly;
Attracted to multi-cultural environments;
Ability to communicate and put forward recommendations in a credible and confident manner at all levels in the organization ;
Strong written and oral communication skills in English are mandatory. Brazilian Native.
