Country Manager




Our client is an US university ranked on the top 10 Forbes list for Higher Education worldwide. They are aggressively expanding their offices overseas and has an outstanding student experience, a long-standing commitment to international students and a track record of successful recruitment worldwide.



We are looking for an executive to start the business operations for our Client in Brazil with responsibilities for managing and delivering student recruitment plans aimed at achieving our client ambitious targets for Brazil.  This role is an exciting opportunity for an outgoing individual that wishes to further develop skills in international marketing. He/She will contribute to the University’s international strategy by providing research and market intelligence that helps develop effective, budgeted, integrated recruitment plans on the basis of this research.  You will participate in education exhibitions, support recruitment agents, develop productive relations with partner organisations and provide quality market intelligence. You will identify new business opportunities, and where these are in collaboration with Indian institutions, work with relevant colleagues to deliver them and ensure effective governance is in place. You will work with the International Recruitment Manager to ensure that Faculties have a sound understanding of the requirements of the Brazil market and have effective recruitment strategies in place.  One of the key functions of the Country Manager is to represent the University at education events, in counselling sessions, and informal presentations at schools and universities. You must be able to make a positive impression of the University on potential students, as well as being an ambassador for the University in meetings and negotiations with stakeholders

Responsibilities include: (1) Oversee research on the Brazil market to help inform effective and costed marketing plans; coordinating and in many cases delivering recruitment/marketing activities as identified in the plans; monitoring the effectiveness of recruitment/marketing activities in Brazil. (2) Promote the full range of University’s programmes: undergraduate, postgraduate, English language, summer schools and pathway programmes (3) Represent the University at recruitment exhibitions, seminars, school visits and presentation events across Brazil (3) Promote and support academic links including coordinating and accompanying academic visits to partner institutions and recruitment events (4) Provide high-quality market intelligence and identify new business opportunities across all University activities and disseminate back to relevant Global Engagement colleagues (5) Use other elements of the marketing/communications mix in support of both student recruitment objectives and the wider promotion, e.g. digital media, PR, social media (6) Develop a network of Indian university partners (research, student mobility) as a means to propagate our client brand and to drive increases of enrolments for graduate courses (7) Actively seek to build and engage a network of India based on existing alumni in Brazil.



Graduate from an US school

Good information management and IT skills, including MS Office applications.

Experience of managing projects, including the ability to deliver to tight deadlines and monitor return on investment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including presentation skills, skills of diplomacy and persuasion

Ability to demonstrate capacity for new and independent thinking and for seeking novel solutions in a marketing setting

Self motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision both as part of a team or independently
